Introduction

Welcome to ASE444. We believe online gaming is a great form of entertainment — as long as it's enjoyed the right way, responsibly. Responsible play isn't just a policy for us; it's at the heart of every decision we make.

Many people in Bangladesh now spend time on online gaming and betting platforms. It can be fun and exciting — but when it becomes a habit that starts to harm other areas of your life, that is when problems arise. ASE444 is committed to standing by you in preventing that from happening.

On this page we'll cover responsible play in detail — how to tell if your gaming habits are healthy, which tools can help you, and where to find support when you need it. You'll find everything here.

Keep in mind: Gaming is purely for entertainment. It is never a primary source of income or a solution to financial problems. At ASE444, responsible play always comes first.

What Is Responsible Play?

Responsible play means gaming or betting in a way where you stay in control — the game doesn't control you. It's a mindset where you:

  • Play within a budget you can afford
  • When you lose, take a break instead of playing more in hopes of winning that money back
  • Keep gaming separate from family time, work, and study
  • Do not use gaming as a way to escape stress or loneliness
  • Keep your gaming within set time and spending limits

At ASE444, we encourage every player to understand what responsible gaming means and to play accordingly. Our platform is built so that you always stay in the driver's seat when it comes to your own choices.

Warning: Losing is a normal part of gambling. Chasing losses by placing bigger bets is the opposite of responsible play and is one of the first signs of a problem.

ASE444 Protection Tools

To support responsible play, ASE444 provides a range of practical tools. You can activate these at any time from your account settings:

  • Deposit Limit: Set a maximum daily, weekly, or monthly deposit amount. Once a limit is set it takes effect immediately, and a waiting period applies if you wish to increase it.
  • Loss Limit: Decide in advance the maximum amount in BDT you are willing to lose within a given period. Once you reach that limit, the system will automatically prevent any further bets from your account.
  • Session Time Limit: Decide the maximum amount of time you will play each day or per session. When that limit is reached, the system will automatically log you out.
  • Cooling-Off Period: Temporarily suspend your account for anywhere between 24 hours and 6 weeks. During this time, logging in or placing bets will not be possible.
  • Self-Exclusion: Close your account for between 6 months and 5 years, or permanently. This is the strongest form of protection available. No promotional materials will be sent during the self-exclusion period.
  • Reality Check: You can receive pop-up notifications at regular intervals reminding you how long you've been playing and how much you've spent in BDT.

These tools are completely free and take effect immediately. Go to your account settings and activate them from the "Responsible Gaming" section.

Signs of Problematic Gaming

Problematic gaming or gambling addiction does not happen overnight — it develops gradually. If you notice any of the following signs in yourself, it is important to take action now:

  • Spending more time or money than originally planned
  • Repeatedly returning to recover losses ("chasing losses")
  • Feeling restless or irritable when unable to game
  • Hiding your gaming from family or friends
  • Borrowing money or dipping into savings for gaming
  • Neglecting responsibilities at work, school, or with family
  • Using gaming to cope with stress or loneliness
  • Repeatedly failing to cut down or stop gaming
  • Skipping sleep or meals to keep playing

If you identify with three or more of the signs above: Please activate a cooling-off period or self-exclusion right away and get in touch with our support team.

Self-Assessment Questionnaire

Ask yourself the questions below. Answer honestly — this is just for you.

1

Have you ever spent more money on gaming than you had budgeted?

2

Have you lied to or hidden things from family about your gaming or betting?

3

After a loss, have you placed bigger bets to try to recover the money?

4

Has gaming affected your sleep, eating, work, or time with family?

5

Have you borrowed money or gone into debt because of gaming or betting?

6

Do you feel restless, anxious, or irritable when you can't game?

7

Do you turn to gaming to escape stress or personal problems?

8

Have you tried to cut down or stop gaming multiple times without success?

Results Summary: If you answered "Yes" to 3 or more questions, we strongly recommend activating the protective tools in your account settings and seeking professional support if needed.

Safe Gaming's Tips

Set Your Budget in Advance

Set aside a fixed monthly gaming budget — an amount you can afford to lose without it affecting your daily life. Think of it as just one part of your monthly entertainment spending.

Stick to Your Time Limits

Game only during your designated time each day, and take a break as soon as that time is up. Use a session timer to help you stick to it.

Play for Fun, Not for Income

Treat gaming as entertainment. Playing with expectations of profit increases the risk of disappointment and addiction.

Do Not Chase Your Losses

If you lose, stop. Placing more bets to try to win back lost money will only make things worse.

Tell Someone You Trust

Talk openly with family or trusted friends about your gaming habits. Keeping it secret only allows the problem to grow.

Take a Break

Take regular breaks during long gaming sessions. Get up, drink some water, take a short walk — then decide whether to continue.

Do Not Play Under Stress

Gaming while feeling angry, sad, lonely, or stressed is risky. Your ability to make sound decisions is reduced during these emotional states.

Use Preventive Tools

Set up deposit limits, loss limits, and session timers before any issues arise. Prevention is far easier than recovery.

  • Have open conversations with children about the risks of online gaming and money.
  • Use router-level filters on your device to block gaming sites.

Warning: If a minor is found to have opened an account, that account will be closed immediately and all deposited funds will be returned.

General FAQ

Log in to your ASE444 account. Go to "Account Settings" from the profile menu and find the "Responsible Gaming" section. There you'll find all tools including deposit limits, loss limits, session timers, cooling-off, and self-exclusion. Reducing a limit takes effect immediately.

It is not possible to reopen your account while self-exclusion is active. You may only apply to reopen it after the specified period has ended. This is intentionally designed to keep the protection effective. For permanent self-exclusion, the account can never be reopened.

Yes, it is possible to increase your deposit limit, but the change does not take effect immediately. For your safety, there is a mandatory waiting period (cooling-off period) after a request to raise the limit. This pause gives you time to reconsider your decision. Lowering your limit, however, always takes effect immediately.

Start by reaching out to our 24/7 support team — we are here to guide you in the right direction. You should also consider speaking with a mental health professional, a family counsellor, or a doctor you trust. Remember: asking for help is not a sign of weakness — it takes real courage.

Speak directly and with compassion. Listen without judgment. Encourage them to seek professional help. Let our support team know — we can add protective measures to that person's account, especially if they are the account holder.

With Reality Check enabled, you can set your own break intervals — for example, every 30 minutes or every hour. At each interval, a pop-up will appear on screen showing how long you have been playing, how many bets you have placed, and your total profit or loss. You can then choose to continue or stop.
